Come on to My House: Recipe: Cranberry Simple Syrup

From November until early February cranberries are widely available at markets around the country. This is a great opportunity to whip up a batch of my cranberry simple syrup, the perfect addition to a holiday cocktail hour or a Valentine's Day treat.

The recipe couldn’t be simpler! Start with a base of our simple syrup— that’s a one to one ratio of sugar and water, brought to a boil with constant stirring until the sugar is dissolved. For this recipe we are doubling our simple syrup.

2 cups water, brought to a boil
2 cups sugar, stir until dissolved, lower heat
2 cups cranberries, stir until cranberries begin to pop and syrup turns pink, remove from heat
Once completed and cooled, decant into a decorative container and use as a wonderful addition to sparking wines. I particularly like to pair it with prosecco and garnish with some fresh cranberries.

We recently put together a how to video from the Come on to My House kitchen and have shared that link below. If you haven’t already, please subscribe to our YouTube channel. Your subscription means so much to us.

Enjoy this recipe! It’s a great special treat for Valentine’s Day, a winter get-together, wedding or bridal shower, or a girls night out. I’d love to hear how you use this syrup too so drop us a line and let us know.
